Bhai Piraga Ji (1629)

Bhai Piraga Ji was the great grandfather of Bhai Mati Das. he wielded sword with consummate skill and was a frontline fighter in all the four battles of Guru Hargobind Sahib. Bhai Gurdas glorifies his virtues by saying that shabad (the word) was rooted deeply in every pore of his body.
