ਜਨਮ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਾ ਬਾਬਾ ਫਤਹਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ
ਦਸਵੀਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀਤੋ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਾ ਬਾਬਾ ਫਤਿਹ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 12 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਆਏ ਸਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਤਾਕਤ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਧ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ, ਬਾਬਾ ਫਤਿਹ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ, ਹਿੰਮਤ ਅਤੇ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਿਕ ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਨਾਲ ਘਿਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਕਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਰੱਖੀ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਖਾਉਣਗੇ।
ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚਪਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ, ਬਾਬਾ ਫਤਿਹ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਬੁੱਧੀ, ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਡਰਤਾ ਦੇ ਅਸਾਧਾਰਨ ਗੁਣ ਦਿਖਾਏ। ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ , ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਸੁਣੀ, ਖਾਲਸੇ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਢੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਉਮਰ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੱਧ ਪਰਿਪੱਕਤਾ ਦਿਖਾਈ, ਜੋ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਿਕ ਸਮਝ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਅਟੁੱਟ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਰਿਸ਼ ਕਿਸੇ ਸ਼ਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ; ਇਸ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ, ਉਹ ਸਿੱਖ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਪੇਸ਼ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਵੱਡੇ ਹੋਏ, ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਾ ਬਾਬਾ ਫਤਿਹ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਦਗਾਰੀ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਛੇ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਰਹਿੰਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਗਲ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਅਸਾਧਾਰਨ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਸਿੱਖੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡਣ ਜਾਂ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਅੱਗੇ ਝੁਕਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਰਾ ਜੀ, ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਾ ਬਾਬਾ ਜ਼ੋਰਾਵਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਟੁੱਟ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦਾ ਦਲੇਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਆਪਣੀ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ, ਦੋਵਾਂ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਿਕ ਤਾਕਤ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਡਰਤਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਾਲਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਨੀਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਿਣਵਾ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ, ਤਾਂ ਬਾਬਾ ਫਤਿਹ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਹਿੰਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਉਦਾਹਰਣ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਦਿਵਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੱਚੀ ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਲਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਕਤ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਬਾਬਾ ਫਤਿਹ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਨੂੰ ਹਿੰਮਤ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਕੁਝ ਸਾਲ ਹੀ ਰਹੇ, ਪਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਔਖੇ ਪਲਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਤਾਕਤ ਦਿਖਾਈ, ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਛੱਡ ਗਈ ਜੋ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ 12 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਦਿਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਦਲੇਰ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਰੂਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਦੇ ਆਗਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚਪਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ, ਬਾਬਾ ਫਤਿਹ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਬੁੱਧੀ, ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਡਰਤਾ ਦੇ ਅਸਾਧਾਰਨ ਗੁਣ ਦਿਖਾਏ। ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ , ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਸੁਣੀ, ਖਾਲਸੇ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਢੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਉਮਰ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੱਧ ਪਰਿਪੱਕਤਾ ਦਿਖਾਈ, ਜੋ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਿਕ ਸਮਝ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਅਟੁੱਟ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਰਿਸ਼ ਕਿਸੇ ਸ਼ਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ; ਇਸ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ, ਉਹ ਸਿੱਖ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਪੇਸ਼ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਵੱਡੇ ਹੋਏ, ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਾ ਬਾਬਾ ਫਤਿਹ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਦਗਾਰੀ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਛੇ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਰਹਿੰਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਗਲ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਅਸਾਧਾਰਨ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਸਿੱਖੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡਣ ਜਾਂ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਅੱਗੇ ਝੁਕਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਰਾ ਜੀ, ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਾ ਬਾਬਾ ਜ਼ੋਰਾਵਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਟੁੱਟ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦਾ ਦਲੇਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਆਪਣੀ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ, ਦੋਵਾਂ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਿਕ ਤਾਕਤ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਡਰਤਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਾਲਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਨੀਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਿਣਵਾ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ, ਤਾਂ ਬਾਬਾ ਫਤਿਹ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਹਿੰਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਉਦਾਹਰਣ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਦਿਵਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੱਚੀ ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਲਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਕਤ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

Janam Sahibzada Baba Fateh Singh Ji
Sahibzada Baba Fateh Singh Ji, the youngest son of 10th Patshahi Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji and Mata Jito Ji, was born on December 12 in Anandpur. His birth brought immense joy to all Sikh Sangat, as he arrived during a time when the Khalsa was growing in strength and spirit. From the very beginning, Baba Fateh Singh Ji was surrounded by an environment filled with devotion, courage, and deep spiritual discipline. This sacred atmosphere shaped his early life and set the foundation for the remarkable bravery he would later display.
Even in his early childhood, Baba Fateh Singh Ji showed exceptional qualities of wisdom, determination, and fearlessness. Being raised in Anandpur, he listened to Gurbani, observed the Khalsa's way of life, and absorbed the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji. Despite being the youngest among the Sahibzade, he demonstrated a maturity far beyond his age, reflecting both spiritual understanding and an unwavering commitment to truth. His upbringing was not sheltered; instead, he grew up witnessing the challenges faced by the Sikh community, which instilled in him a deep sense of responsibility.
The Shaheedi of Sahibzada Baba Fateh Singh Ji stands as one of the most heart-moving and monumental sacrifices in Sikh history. At the tender age of just six years old, he faced the Mughal authorities in Sirhind with extraordinary resolve, refusing to abandon the path of Sikhi or bow to tyranny. Alongside his elder brother, Sahibzada Baba Zorawar Singh Ji, he boldly declared his unwavering faith in the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.Despite their youth, both brothers displayed spiritual strength and fearlessness that shook the conscience of even their oppressors. When sentenced to be bricked alive, Baba Fateh Singh Ji accepted martyrdom with complete serenity and divine courage. His Shaheedi remains a timeless example of steadfastness, reminding the world that true bravery is not determined by age but by the purity and strength of one’s faith.

When sentenced to be bricked alive, Baba Fateh Singh Ji accepted martyrdom with complete serenity and divine courage.
